What Byajdar does
Every morning Byajdar collects the fixed deposit, savings and loan rates that institutions publish on their rate sheets, Nepal Rastra Bank's reference exchange rates, the gold and silver price set by FENEGOSIDA, and remittance quotes for sending money to Nepal. It puts them side by side, ranked by the rate itself, with the date and source of every number.
Byajdar keeps every day's data instead of overwriting it, and publishes it as free downloads under a CC BY 4.0 licence.
Who runs Byajdar
Byajdar is published by Byajdar Editorial. It is not a bank, broker or licensed financial adviser, and it is not licensed by Nepal Rastra Bank. Content on the site is general information, not personal financial advice.
How Byajdar stays independent
- Comparisons are ordered by the published rate alone. No institution can pay to rank higher.
- Some links to remittance providers are affiliate links. Byajdar may earn a referral fee if you sign up through one, at no cost to you, and pages with these links say so.
- The Find My Bank tool passes your contact details to a partner bank only if you tick the consent box on that form.
Where the numbers come from
Bank rates come from institutions' published interest rate sheets, collected through a rate aggregation feed and, for some institutions, read directly from their own sites. Exchange rates are Nepal Rastra Bank's official reference rates. Gold and silver prices are FENEGOSIDA's published daily prices. The full process is on the methodology page.
