Definition. The Byajdar FD Index is the median of the published 1-year fixed deposit rates for individuals across all banks and financial institutions Byajdar tracks on a given day. The median is used rather than the average so one unusually high or low rate does not move the index. The series starts on 4 September 2026, the first day of consistent coverage. Days when fewer than 44 institutions were captured are marked partial in the CSV and left out of the chart and table above (30 September 2026).
