How the price is set
Nepal's bullion price is published each trading day (around 11 am) by FENEGOSIDA — the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers' Association. It tracks the international gold price, the USD/NPR exchange rate (see today's NRB forex rates), and import costs. Jewellers nationwide quote from this reference, adding making charges for jewellery.
The fix is published each trading morning around 11 am. On Saturdays and public holidays the bullion market is closed, so the last trading day's price carries over — the date shown above is always the date of the latest official fix.

The card above is the answer most people want: today's 1 tola fine gold price, straight from the official rate. For 2, 5 or 10 tolas, multiply — bullion has no volume discount. Buying jewellery? Add the jeweller's making charge (ज्याला) and any stone weight on top of the metal price.
Record highs and why the price moves
Nepal's gold price has been setting record highs repeatedly through 2025–2026, pulled up by the international gold rally and a weakening rupee against the dollar. The domestic price follows the international gold price converted at the USD/NPR rate, plus import duty and dealer margin — so a strong dollar day moves the Nepali tola price even when world gold is flat. Silver price in Nepal today
Silver follows the same FENEGOSIDA daily fix as gold — the card above shows today's silver price per tola and per 10 gram, and the chart toggle plots its trend. Silver moves with the same drivers (international price × USD rate + import costs) at roughly a sixty-fifth of gold's price, which is why it spikes harder in percentage terms on big market days.

1 tola = 11.664 g = 100 lal. The hallmark (छापावाल) price above is certified 9999 fine gold; tejabi gold trades slightly below it. The per-gram rate is simply the 10-gram price ÷ 10.
